MORNING GAZE OVER DITIANTAI 晨望地天泰

Mist lingers soft, like a poet’s sigh,
Drifting light where the valleys lie.
Mt Kauri dragon, cloaked in gold,
Unfurls its spine in dawn’s bold.

Before me vast, the earth unfurls,
Sea and peak in jade-white swirls.
Beyond the waves, a dragon sleeps,
Its breath in clouds, its silence deep.

Sunlight spills through heaven’s seam,
Stirring cicadas from drowsy dream.
Their voices rise, then fade in flight,
A fleeting song of summer’s light.

I watch, I drink the boundless flow,
Where Heaven and Earth in union grow.
No words can hold this fleeting grace,
Yet still, my heart is set in place.
