NEW ZEALAND’S TRIUMPH AT THE AMERICA’S CUP: Mastering the Art of Flow

New Zealand wins The America’s Cup!

Emirates Team New Zealand have officially made history as the first continuous team to win the America’s Cup three times in a row.

In a brilliant display of skill and innovation, New Zealand triumphed once again, solidifying their status in the world of sailing. Their win wasn’t just a victory—it was a celebration of ingenuity, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on the water.

For a country of just five million people, New Zealand consistently produce some of the best sailors in the world and with innovation in sailing, proving that size is no barrier to success.

My first encounter with the America’s Cup was when Australia ended America’s 132-year reign in the 1982. It was a historic moment.

For a time, I lost interest as the race moved away from conventional cruisers. But the 2021 Louis Vuitton challenge reignited my passion. The sight of foiling monohulls, a 7 tonne missile fly across the water was nothing short of mesmerizing—sailing elevated to artistry. Kim and I were so captivated that we watched the final Cup Challenge race from the water aboard our own boat, Arielle.

As the oldest international sports competition in the world, the America’s Cup is more than just a test of sailing; it’s a dynamic enterprise where innovation dictates success. This prestigious event brings together the world’s top sailors, visionary yacht designers, and driven entrepreneurs.

New Zealand, in particular, has redefined the America’s Cup by pioneering many of the advances that have revolutionized the sport:
🇦🇺 In their first challenge in 1987, they introduced fiberglass hulls, setting them apart.
🇦🇺 In 2013, they quietly added foils to their AC72 catamaran, allowing the boat to lift above the water, reaching unprecedented speeds.
🇦🇺 By 2017, they stunned the world with “cyclors,” crew members who powered the boat’s hydraulics through cycling. 🚴‍♂️💨
🇦🇺 And in 2021, they helped introduce the AC75 foiling monohull, a radical leap forward in yacht design.

America’s Cup meets Formula 1!!!

These innovations propelled New Zealand to win the Cup three times in a row—a feat unmatched in modern sailing..

New Zealand’s participation in the America’s Cup not only highlights its sailing prowess but also generates significant social, economic, and cultural benefits that resonate throughout the nation.

For me, the America’s Cup isn’t just a race—it’s a metaphor for transformation. Sailing has become a personal passion, an exploration of nature’s raw power and flow. There’s something magical about being propelled forward by nothing but wind, experiencing pure freedom. 🌬️✨ It’s the same thrill I seek in life, pushing boundaries and flowing with the natural energy around me.

New Zealand’s mastery of the America’s Cup perfectly mirrors the principles of Feng Shui—harnessing invisible forces with precision to create extraordinary results. Just as their boats reach five times the speed of the wind, Feng Shui channels unseen energies to transform spaces and lives.

Both are about mastering flow, balance, and energy, and both demonstrate the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved when you understand and guide those forces.

Master Boon🌈💜
