DESTINATION AUCKLAND

DESTINATION AUCKLAND

A whirlwind 4 days of Feng Shui consultations, business meetings, a ballet performance, a dinner date, and catching up with family and friends. A busy but fulfilling itinerary awaits.

After a peaceful day’s sail with gentler winds than expected, we were pleasantly surprised as they soon picked up, making for a smooth and uneventful journey to our night anchorage in Okahu Bay. This tranquil spot, our favorite stopover, provided a gentle transition into the vibrant pulse of city life.

On this serene, sunny winter’s morning, I managed to conduct a few Zoom consultations—two with clients in the USA and another in Melbourne, Australia—right from the deck.

A final hour’s sail brought us into The Viaduct, which serves as our next office location. The Viaduct, bustling with energy, is the heart of Auckland’s maritime activity, where we’re moored amidst commercial whale-watching and sailing excursion boats. Watching the skillful skippers glide gracefully into tight spots is always a captivating sight.

We’re in esteemed company here, nestled between two iconic yachts: one, a celebrated winner of the Whitbread Round the World Race, the only yacht to have claimed victory in all six legs; the other, Lion New Zealand, the triumphant conqueror of the notoriously treacherous Sydney to Hobart, one of the most renowned sailing races.

Now, we’re ready to hop onto our tandem scooter for a pre-ballet dinner, eager to embrace the rest of our Auckland adventure.

Master Boon🌈💜
